7th Circ. Rejects Deportation Appeal, Wealth Status Plea

Law360, New York (August 24, 2016, 11:44 PM ET) — The Seventh Circuit on Wednesday rejected an appeal from a Mexican citizen who had been ordered deported for unlawful presence and a drug conviction, as it had previously ruled that the threat of harm falling upon those perceived as “having money” from living in the U.S. is not sufficient grounds to stop a deportation.
