Dallas County Sheriff Wants Immigration Hold Suit Dismissed

Law360, New York (December 21, 2015, 5:44 PM ET) — Dallas County and Sheriff Lupe Valdez urged a Texas federal court Friday to dismiss a civil rights lawsuit alleging Valdez has violated the constitutional rights of individuals with immigration holds by refusing to allow bond and by wrongfully detaining them, saying the immigrants have failed to state a viable claim.
