Preparing For Changes To Federal Appellate Rules

Law360, New York (October 19, 2016, 3:20 PM EDT) — On Dec. 1, 2016, several important amendments to the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure take effect. The most impactful amendment is the shortening of the permissible length of appellate briefs, which will affect many appeals and will have a particularly significant impact on complex appeals such as patent cases.
